Advice for Young Lawyers

Dear new wigs and young learned friends, with humility, please let me advise that before you make yourself and your practice professionally visible online, you need to work on your skills. Don't just come out to be seen and heard because others are doing it. You may just fizzle out in no time. If you ask me how long it will take you to work on yourself, I can't but be quick to suggest you need a minimum of five years. That's just my view.

Just imagine someone like me who had been facilitating learning and research for more than two decades at the three levels of education including at the professional level. I can tell you that I just started making my professional skills visible online few years ago. I doubt it's been up to 6 years. This advice may not work for you. But I must say that upskilling every day has become my way of life.
